Legoland!!

Tustin really wanted to donate a couple of toys to the Rady Children's Hospital Toy Drive this year, so we did. In return, we received 4 complimentary tickets to Legoland! So, we couldn't pass up that offer. (All of these photos were taken with my phone, so the quality isn't what most of my photos are, but you get the idea... we had FUN!)

Slides & Safari Rides

Helicopters & Bone Diggin'

All Kinds of Moving Vehicles

There were cars that the boys could drive on their own-- not even on tracks. There was also a stand-up kind of jet-ski thing, where water sprays burst out of the water every once in a while.

Why Keegan is Thankful

"I am thankful for school and my friends and my family. I am thankful for my cousins and my brother." Isn't that sweet? (Sure looks like they are eating donuts for Thanksgiving dinner.... hmmmm, not sure if THAT is going to happen this year!)

South Pacific

South Pacific-- the OSHR Version

My dad was in a play of South Pacific this past weekend- and it was really great! I got to see him perform in South Pacific when we lived in Subic Bay Philippines, in the late
'70s, and here he is, 30 years later, doing it again! He has been performing in one way or another over the past 30 years though, usually in his Barbershop Quartet, and even chorus for a while. But lately he's been involved in OSHER Lifelong Learning Institute, through UCSD (it's classes for old people), and they decided to do a production of South Pacific this year. So, if you can imagine Nellie Forbush, in her 70's, singing "I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Out of My Hair," then you can picture the play! Dad even dressed up in coconuts and a curly wig to perform a duet of "Honey Bun" with Nellie Forbush. Oh ya, Dad played Luther Billis, for those of you who have seen, and recall, South Pacific. In one of the photos, Dad is speaking with Bloody Mary, but I didn't get her face in the photo unfortunately-- she was a REALLY great Bloody Mary! I didn't use a flash, so there was too much movement in most of my photos to be used on my blog.

The Cast

Here is the unconventional cast of Dad's version of South Pacific! And here's a cute picture of Luther Billis and Me!! And, of course, Luther Billis in his coconuts, blond and curly wig, and grass skirt! (Keegan came in to the office while I was watching a video replay of Papa singing "A hundred and one, pounds of fun, that's my little honey bun..." with his coconuts and wig on, and Keegan stared in shock, threw his hands to cover his mouth and yelled "PAPA HAS BOOBIES!" And he just giggled like it was the funniest thing in the world!)

Halloween Party

Tustin's buddy at school invited us over to their house for a party on Halloween night. It was great, they had dinner, dessert, snacks, drinks, and they rented a huge jumpy/slide combo for the kids to play on. And... I think they spent 2 hours straight, playing on it!

Trick-or-Treat

It was a little tricky to get all the kidlets sitting still for a photo, but I love taking a bunch anyway, because they paint a funny picture looking at all the poses! We had a fun time walking around the neighborhood after the party. The kids got a lot of loot!

Pumpkin Carving

The boys had fun carving pumpkins this year-- I tried to let them do it by themselves, with the proper safety precautions! Keegan wouldn't even touch the insides, to scrape out the "meat" and seeds. Tustin tried, but was pretty grossed out!

Wonderful Surprise!

Kristi and the kids came to town last weekend to help us celebrate Keegan's birthday! The boys didn't know that Auntie Kristi, Jack and Rose were going to show up at their soccer game-- they were very surprised, and very excited!

Soccer Time or Play Time?

By the end of the boys' soccer game, they were so far ahead, they kind of got side-tracked and decided to play with their cousins!
