The Boys

We were leaving our house yesterday to go to a party for the kids. There was a young girl, across the street, who kept shouting something as cars passed. I wasn't paying much attention as I was locking the doors. Keegan said "Oh, sounds like maybe she lost her dog or something." Tustin said "Ya, and it's name is Yardsale." I couldn't stop laughing!!!

Tut Talk

I've had several children's books ideas in my mind over the years-- but Tustin just gave me the greatest title ever. He was playing in the bath, and I was in the office, working on the computer (blogging), and he's in there rambling away. When I stopped to listen, all I heard was "Can you take singing lessons from a whale?" Then his other voice said "Sure you Can!" So, no one take my idea, my debut children's book is going to be "Can You Take Singing Lessons from a Whale?" Guess I'll have to study up on humpbacks, so I know as much about them as my kids do!

Let the Vacation Begin!

From the minute we got there (to Auntie Kristi & Uncle Kevin's house) the relaxin' began! We were pool side with a cool drink within minutes. We actually had a great drive, and made it from SD to Rocklin in under 9 hours. The boys watched movies, and I listened to music, and it was pretty easy-breezy (the way back home too). We had SO much fun being up there-- just like last year over the 4th of July holiday. It's so great to see the cousins playing and having so much fun together. And, it was great to hang out with my sis, drink a little red in the evenings and catch up on our lives! It was our first time meeting Isabella Moore, so it was also the first time for all 8 of the little ones to be together! Good times. Thank you Derbys for being the hosts with the mosts! Two days ago-- out of the blue-- Tustin said "Mommy, why does Auntie Kristi choose to be so far away from us?" One of those adorable, but sad moments!

Pool Time!

It was a lot of fun spending so much QT with my niece and nephew-- and the rest of the No-Cal family!

Swimming, Swimming, and More Swimming

That's what we did all weekend! It was great. Last year over the 4th of July weekend, Keegan learned to swim in Auburn/Rocklin. This year over the 4th of July weekend, Tustin learned to swim in Auburn/Rocklin!

Fun times getting to meet Isabella! And fun times at the park as well.

Fun indoors and out! (The things men do for women.)

We had as much fun getting ready for our fireworks display as we did actually watching the fireworks!

We had the best fire works show ever! The kids and adults all loved it!
