Kristi's Big 40th Birthday Bash

I was fortunate enough to fly up to my sister's house to celebrate her 40th birthday party with family and friends. It was a short trip, Sat a.m. to Sunday afternoon-- but WELL worth it! We had some good hanging out time, fun times chattin' it up with the girls, it was great! Okay-- so it was Kevin's birthday too... but he's just a young pup of 39 now!! Ya, I can call him a young pup-- he's 3 days younger than I am! So-- he'll get his chance to celebrate big next year!

Pre-Party Fun

Kristi's party was more of a younger crowd kind of a thing (not because we didn't think the old fogies could handle it.... but more or less, because we didn't want to have to be embarrassed about anything we did, or said, or drank, etc... in front of our parents)! And, as one wise Grandmother once said: I can get down with the best of them.... I just cant get up again! So, Saturday during the day was our wonderful visit with the Aunties from Auburn. (Hmmm sounds like I could make a country song out of that one!) Syl, and Hol, and Joie all drove down for a visit, and it was a lot of fun. For the very short time I was up there, it was so nice to see almost everyone!! Rosie got in on a little pampering like her mommy... a pedi- and mani- by Nikki! We all had some quality girl time!

Beautify!

Nikki curled and styled Kristi's hair! She was ready to go, Princess glass in hand.

Friends & Family

Kristi was the hostess with the mostest, offering jello-shots, and a large selection of appetizers to all! Grandma Sandy ordered a beautiful and tasty cake... but we didn't take the time to put 40 candles on it! And, we got to hang out with the NoCal family youngin's.... Geez... guess being 40, and all the "youngin's" now having their own youngin's, guess WE aren't the youngin's anymore!!

Just a Few...

A few bottles of wine; a few birthday cards (for Kristi AND Kevin); and a few instruments being played! As the evening progressed, they pulled out the Wii and everyone had a little fun!

QT with the Cuties

Sunday was a relaxing, recuperating day. I got to spend a little quality time with my niece and nephew, and a Bloody Mary or two... or three... while enjoying..... uh, or NOT enjoying, but watching nonetheless, the Charger game!!

Too Cute!

I know I haven't "blogged" for a while, and I've got a lot of photos to upload, but life has been busy with this new year starting! I saw this picture while cleaning the office a little, and had to post it! I drew this on my first day of kindergarten, in 1976!! Thanks mom for saving special things!!

Happy New Year!

This is how we spent New Year's Day! We loaded up the car with the wagon, and headed downtown! Walked along the ship terminals, the fishing piers, Seaport Village, and played at the embarcadero. It was a beautiful day! Enjoy the pictures that follow!

Fun Walking

We brought the wagon on our journey, but the boys did a great job of walking! And, we walked at least 2 miles, if not more. Well, they rode in the wagon the whole way back from our journey. But they had fun walking on rocks, on walls, etc.

Fun Along our Journey

We have the most interesting things down at our harbor!

What a Cute Family We Are!!

Ride-em Cowboy!

They have this great carousel at Seaport Village-- with truly antique, hand-carved, wooden horses, that have been in World Famous Fairs since the late 1800's!! We had a lot of fun taking funny pictures while going for our ride. Daddy took a little break and sat in the wagon while he waited.
