The boys' big gift from Santa this year was their Wii game. Although we didn't open it at the Derby's house, we had fun practicing on their Wii, with our new games! And, the boys had a blast on Christmas morning playing with other electronic gifts as well.

Family Walk

We may have had a lot of drizzly weather on our vacation- but we still managed to get out into the great outdoors and go for family walks together! (Hmmm, except for Nonny and her new fur coat and suede boots!)

Soda Springs

On a beautiful, clear, non-rainy/snow day, we decided to drive up Highway 80 to Soda Springs. We went to their tubing park, and had a wonderful time! The drive was gorgeous too!

Snow Day!

The kids REALLY wanted to go to the snow, so when we discovered that highway 80 required chains at a certain point, we decided to drive out to Foothill (a "drive at your own risk" kind of a drive, not on any of the main freeways). It worked out perfectly! We found a big, huge, snowy field, with a slight slope, perfect for the kids to go sledding. And the snow was the perfect condition for making snowmen and using the really cool snowball makers that Nonny got for the kids.

After our nice snow day, we went to a cute little diner in Foothills, and had lunch and hot chocolate!

Good Times!

They boys got a pin-ball machine for Christmas from Nana & Papa-- they love it! We had a lot of fun at our early x-mas celebration with Nana, Papa, Auntie Peggy, and Great Nana!
