Carlsbad Flower Fields

While Kristi & Rose were in town, we drove up to the Carlsbad Flower Fields. The kids definitely had their moments-- showing off in front of their cousin, etc... but for the most part, we had a really wonderful time! As you will see in pictures to follow, I don't think I've taken so many pictures of Tustin & Keegan together, without one upsetting (poking, pushing, squeezing, etc.) the other. At the Flower Fields-- they were true posers! They even had fun taking pictures themselves. The flowers were beautiful. We went on a fun tractor ride, played in the playground, and even went panning for rocks. Fun times!

Playground at the Flower Fields

There is a fun playground at the Flower Fields, where the kids played for quite a while.

Panning for Rocks

The kids got to choose a bucket of sand, and see what types of rocks were in there. They split them 3-ways, by each picking a rock, one at a time. Surprisingly, no fighting! And then the lady who worked there threw in a cat's eye for each of them!

Day at the Docks

After we spent the morning at the Flower Fields, we drove down to Point Loma and spent the afternoon at Day at the Docks with Nonny & Pop. Even though the kids were a bit cranky after their long day, we all still managed to have some fun! They got to go fishing... and fishing... and fishing... but no catching. After all day of eating bait, and getting thrown back in, the fish wised-up! By the afternoon, no one was biting!

Water Time!

They started out dry, just THINKING about it. But once Keegan got soaked, they were up for a little water play. Tustin got a little wet, and Rosie just put her toes in a little.

More than Fishing & Water

They had all kinds of vendors out there, so we had fun walking around and checking things out. And yes, Rosie and Keegs are Nudie-Batudie in the car!

Mini Gold with Nana & Papa

We had fun at Boomers with Nana & Papa! The other picture shows off the boys' new haircuts. (Well, sort of new, this picture is a few weeks old now!)

Daddy's Gear

Keegan trying on Daddy's gear. He isn't as "in" to dirt bike riding as Tustin, but he loves to put on the gear. (No, we don't have a dirt bike for Tustin, but he likes to watch the races with Daddy, and play dirt bike video games on weekends sometimes with Daddy.)

Mallard Duck

Keegan had a two-week vacation from school, and his assignment, for Open House, was to make a farm/barn animal. He wanted to do a duck, so, together, we made a Mallard duck. He helped out with every part of it! And, of all of his class mates, it was the only duck made!
