Happy 4th of July!

We had a nice, quiet 4th. Pool Party at Great Nana's

, and the whole gang showed up for the fun. I think the kids had been in the pool going on 14 days in a row, with swim lessons and all. They LOVE it!!

Go Padres!

They may not have won the game-- but we sure had fun! For the first time in the years we've been taking the boys, they actually enjoyed it! AND paid attention to the game. See the photo of the close-up of the field, look in the lower left, and you'll see the boys down there... waiting for the players to come in to the dugout from the field, and wave hello, and possibly throw a ball up!

Our Sunflowers

Nonny gave us 8 little sunflower seedlings, about 6 inches high, in their own little cups. We have horrible soil, and I couldn't think of anything to do with them-- so I brought boxes home from work and planted them! We've been watering them every day, and measuring them against the boys' height. Several of them made it even taller than the boys! They are beautiful.

So Cool!

Dan-Pa was teaching the boys about pruning the dead leaves and flowers off of the sunflower plants, so the nutrients would go to the new buds and flowers. We disected one of the dead flowers-- and pulled out the sunflower seeds! It was a pretty great experience for the kids to put 2 & 2 together, and see where sunflower seeds actually come from, and how they grow inside the flower.

Coronado!

We had a fun day at Coronado Beach when Auntil Holly & Auntie Joie were in town. Keegan's friend Justine came along for the fun too. I think everyone really enjoyed the beach!

Gettin' Set Up & Relaxin'!!!

Family Fun

Awwww!

Counting down the days until Kindergarten!

Tustin wanted to make a chain, with a link for every day left until kindergarten (we do this a lot for upcoming "big" events, so they have some sort of visual concept of how many days are left). When we made the chain, there were just over 60 days....a lot less than that now!!! Mid August!

Keegan's New-Found Interest

Keegan spends HOURS at a time working on Lego projects! He just loves it, and he's really good at it! He's putting together these creations that are

well over 100 little Lego pieces.

Race to the Fair (again!)

Yep-- we got to go to the fair again!! First time with Nonny & Auntie Silly, and then again with Nana & Papa. The kids got wrist bands for the rides, and they rode, and rode, and rode! They had a lot of fun, and were able to go on quite a few rides on the midway. Don't think we'll be heading back to the "Kid Zone" anymore! Enjoy our day at the fair, we sure did.

Rides!

The boys took Papa on the thrill ride of his life! I think he was a wee bit loco when that ride was over!

Too Much Fun to Be Had!
