Take A Guess...

Which Halloween gingerbread house do thing the boys and I created? Which gingerbread house do you think is the one on the cover of the box? Go on, take a guess!

Okay, We'll Show You Which is Which

Yes, you guessed it, the one that's a little more "homey" is ours! :-) Another Halloween tradition checked off the list. The kids love doing this every year. What's that? Why do the kids never have clothes on in our home pictures? Oh, that's because the minute they get home from anywhere, they strip down to their chonies! I don't get it. They haven't worn PJ's to bed in about 3 years, neither of them. So, the minute they wake up in the morning, they are in their chonies... until they HAVE to get dressed to go somewhere! But hey, they are comfortable, right?! :-)

Buzz Lightyear

These are pictures from the Buzz ride. You can use a screen to have them emailed to you when you get off the ride! Pretty cool (but very small and a little hard to see).

Red Rockets

The Rockets won their 3rd of 4 games this morning! And it was picture day. So, I snuck in a few photos over the shoulder of the photographer-- shame on me! But, they turned out so cute! :-)

The Happiest Place on Earth!

DISNEYLAND!! Keegan is on a two-week break from school (yes, already!) so we decided to take him on a little birthday trip to Disneyland. Nonny came with us, and the five of us had a blast! The park was open from 8am to 6pm that day, and we walked through the gate at about 7:59am, and walked out the gate at about 5:59pm!! Yes, we spent 10 hours walking around. The boys were pooped and a bit crabby (as were we all) by the end of the day, but they walked every bit of that 10 hours and really did great. We had a blast!

River Raft over to Tom Sawyer's Island

We boarded the little raft and headed to cruise around on Tom Sawyer's Island. The boys had so much fun climbing, investigating caves, playing on the playground, and jumping on monkey and barrel bridges! It was great. We must have spent a good 45-60 minutes over there!

Tom Sawyers

The boys had SO much fun on Tom Sawyer's Island, I over heard Keegan saying to Tustin: "Tustin, do you just want to stay here all day?" And Tustin, in his typically agreeable fashion, said "Ya, sure Keegan!" (I say typically, because when he's tired, that's a whole 'nother story!) And, there's also a photo here of the 5 of us on the Nemo submarine ride, which the boys thought was pretty cool.

To Infinity and Beyond!!

We went on the Buzz Lightyear ride FOUR times! Of course, we wanted to go on all the coasters, so we "tried" everything once. But, when it was kids' choice: BUZZ LIGHTYEAR every time! :-) The boys even got astro blasters as little Disney gifties from Mom & Dad. It wasn't too crowded, but more than we would have thought for a Tuesday in mid-October. We used the Fast Pass tickets for the bigger rides, and the longest we waited (Peter Pan & Nemo) was about 25-30 minutes. The boys were troopers! We took them on Space Mountain (which, unfortunately isn't the true Space Mountain in October- it's more like Spooky Mountain, and they had the whole solar system dark so you couldn't see any of it), Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain, Jungle Cruise, etc... They are tall enough now to ride everything except Indiana Jones (which Mom and I went on together). And of course we rode a lot of the kids' rides too, like Pinocchio, Snow White, and a couple others. It was great fun! Makes me think of when I was a kid, we used to visit my Aunt in L.A., and we always went to Disneyland!

More Rides

We actually got BOTH boys to go into/on the Haunted Mansion this year-- for the first time! It wasn't the typical Haunted Mansion though... they really change it up for the holidays. So, next time we go, it will be a whole new ride for them! Daddy took the boys climbing on the Swiss Family Robinson tree house, while Nonny and I rode the Indiana Jones ride (the ONLY ride in which the boys were too short to ride). And we had a blast on Splash Mountain too, although Keegan was quite apprehensive about the big drop. (Oh, and Nonny was blocking her glasses from getting wet, not shielding her eyes in fear... uh huh, that's her story, and she's sticking to it!)

Toon Town!

We had fun walking around in Toon Town, riding the roller coaster, and checking out the shops. We didn't stop in to see Mickey though, too much other stuff to do!

Toon Town Play Ground

There was a lot to do in Toon Town-- including a fun playground. We showed up at this playground 8 hours after we started our day at Disneyland, and the boys ran around and played for at least a half hour, before we headed off for a couple of last rides before the park closed!

Fun Day!

Here are a couple of pictures of Small World, and trying to pull the Sword out of the Stone. A final shot of the end of the parade on Main Street as we leave the park for the day! What a wonderful day we had!
